It was somewhat inconvenient process to put together but once you figure it out it’s a lot easier to clean and replace filters. The filtration system helps with the way a bowl fills up with hair, grime ect. I don’t mind filling it up every couple of days because the fur babies love it, and that’s what matters most.
It does exactly what it supposed to do, better than the one I bought from the pet shop. The pet fountains is quiet, and all three of our cats like drinking from it. Most importantly to us, it is very easy to clean. Once a week I take it apart and wash it in sudsy water. (Other fountains we have tried would get disgusting green gunk buildup in crevasses that could not easily be cleaned.) Highly recommended.
I wouldn’t say this is ideal for someone in vet school, but it’s fun for a kid or teen who’s into science. Got this for my 14 YO niece and she loved it.
I bought this for our family veterinarian and she absolutely loved it. She didn't have anything like this anatomical dog in her office...she only had a poster dog diagram on the wall.
While the cat's shell is a brittle plastic that I'm afraid might break if stressed the wrong way, the organs and bones are a nice dense rubber/plastic material, with detailed molding and painting. Even the non-removable structures embedded in the shell are of high quality. I'd say the internals are as nice as any pricier professional models I've seen in veterinarians' offices.
This was a birthday gift for a young one who loves cats and home science, it rates five stars from me. Despite some drawbacks, considering the price and overall quality compared to professional models, we are very happy with it.
